Eric,
along with Corey Mohn, formed Planning Initiatives in the summer of
2001. Eric has over 16 years of planning and design experience, most
of it gained in the Midwest. At Planning Initiatives, Eric is an associate
and key team member with a wide range of responsibilities, including
project management and administration, public relations, and design.
Eric's professional career includes extensive experience in the fields
of land use planning, assessment of urban development and redevelopment
opportunities, and the creation of practical design guidelines for
the redevelopment, rehabilitation and renovation of commercial buildings.
His work has involved analysis and planning for a wide range of activities,
particularly industrial and business parks, commercial business districts,
recreation complexes and park planning, strip shopping areas and centers
and riverfront areas, as well as site selection studies and master
planning for Missouri riverboat gaming facilities.
Eric's professional activities in the field of Urban Design include
the planning and design of downtown parks, downtown master plans,
urban streetscapes, building façade renovations, golf courses,
and pedestrian circulation systems. In the field of economic development,
Eric has extensive experience in both tax increment financing and
enterprise zone programs, having been responsible for, or participated
in, more than fifty tax increment financing redevelopment plans in
his career.
Prior to forming Planning Initiatives, Eric was a Senior Project Manager
at Economic Development Resources. Before joining Economic Development
Resources, Eric was a Planner / Urban Consultant for PGAV Urban Consulting
for more than ten years.

Corey, along with Eric White, formed Planning Initiatives in the summer
of 2001. At Planning Initiatives, Corey is an associate who maintains
a diversified set of positions within the firm, including project
liason, finanacial analyst, and office manager.
In the year 2000, Corey brought his award winning educational career
to the business of economic development. As a project mananger for
Economic Development Resources, he directed development and redevelopment
projects by compiling enterprise zone applications, coordinating tax
increment financing projects, and creating succinct charts and tables
to calculate and summarize land-value information. He continues to
perform these tasks as an associate for Planning Initiatives, with
a particular emphasis on assisting community leaders and developers
and tailoring the product to the client.
Corey majored in political science and economics at Washington University.
While in attendance, he was inducted into both the Phi Beta Kappa
and Pi Sigma Alpha scholastic honor societies. Additionally, in 1999
he was named co-recipient of the Arnold J. Lien Prize. He was active
in government while an undergraduate, first as a Congressional Intern
for a member of the Missouri delegation and then as a White House
Intern in the Office of the Vice President. He currently participates
in neighborhood politics in the City of St. Louis, and serves as a
volunteer in the Mentor St. Louis program, as well as a math tutor
for an inner-city student.
